  • 3 Medjool dates​; 60g each
  • 3 Marcona Almonds​: 10g each
  • 3 half teaspoons Valdeón cheese​: 20g  
  • 3 half strips smoked bacon: 35g each (approximately 5" long​)

procedure
  • Remove the pits from the dates by slicing into one side of the date, so that the date resembles a clam shell.
  • Put 1 half teaspoon of Valdeón cheese and one Marcona Almond inside each of the dates, then close each back together.
  • Wrap each date with one strip of bacon.
  • Put one date on a skewer

Service

  • Deep fry one skewer of dates at 375ºF until brown in color.
  • The bacon should be cooked through, but be careful not to burn it.
  • Plate as directed for passed service
