Red Wine, Rye Whiskey, Tart Cherry, Lots of Cinnamon
At the time of service:
Fill electric water kettle with one quart pre-batched cocktail at a time.
Set temp to 150 degrees. *You may have to set temp each time you heat a cocktail.
*Do not set any higher, or alcohol will burn off and become rancid.
Once hot, fill mug to almost full (approx. 7.5 ounces per cocktail)
Garnish: Brandied cherry and an orange slice on a skewer
*At the end of each night, discard any remaining batch in the kettle. Ring in and comp off wasted cocktails.
In a quart container, combine:
14 oz Sangria Red Wine
4 oz Old Overholt Rye
5 oz Cinnamon Syrup
4 oz Water
2 oz Tart Cherry Juice
1 oz Leopold Tart Cherry Liqueur (or Luxardo Sangue Morlacco)
Label and date. Store refrigerated. Yield = 4 cocktails
