Blackberry, Red Fruits, Eucalyptus, Black Licorice
Dark Yet Fresh. More Restrained, Refined And Elegant.
The ‘El Malo’ is dark and brooding, but still surprisingly fresh. Eucalyptus and black licorice mingle with dark red and black fruits. The flavors are classic Ribera del Duero, but with a more balanced palate, not as big. Sophisticated, restrained, elegant.Quinta Milú is young winemaker Germán R. Blanco's tiny operation in the small town of La Aguilera, in the province of Burgos. Blanco calls his estate a "micro winery" and steers away from modern winemaking techniques and international varieties. From old Tempranillo vines, he makes wines aged in different types and sizes of casks and barrels. Quinta Milú is named for Germán's baby boy, Lucas(Mi Lu…). The ‘El Malo’ vineyard, is much colder, and harder to achieve ripening (always late). El Malo is only made in the best vintages and has become the height of Germán’s achievements at Quinta Milú.As always, clay and mixed soils mixed with the extreme weather in Ribera develops a wine of incredible depth, complexity and sense of soil
