Plums, Tart Wild Berries, Musky, Crushed Rocks
Fresh, Great Balance Of Light Grip And Vibrant, Mouth Watering Acidity.
When the D.O. Ribera Sacra told Xavi Soeanes how to make his wine, he left the D.O. He crafts his wines without intervention, from biodynamically farmed fruit he grows on a windy, terraced cliff overlooking the Miño River, where it joins the Sil.Xavi picks his fruit early, when it’s firm and fresh, like his grandfather did two generations ago, before acidification became a common practice in the region. The result is a fresh and unmasked wine, complex and true to its home.Xavi picks his fruit early, when it’s firm and fresh, like his grandfather did two generations ago, before acidification became a common practice in the region. The result is a fresh and unmasked wine, complex and true to its home. The nose is simultaneously full of purple plums & tart wild berries and something more musky and earthy, with more mineral shining through as it opens up. The palate is fresh, displaying tannins with light grip and wonderful, mouth watering acidity to balance.
