Red berries, minerals, violets, blood orange, Mediterranean herbs
Bouyant acidity, delicate weight with red and black berries and wonderful minerality
75 minutes east of Madrid, along the edge of the Sierra de Gredos mountains, two cousins (with the help of famed winemaker Raul Perez) decided to fulfill their dream of making cool-climate, expressive wines. Bernabeleva, or “Bear’s forest,” is a nod to the region’s Celtic past where one finds ancient bears carved from Boulders to mark forests once dedicated to the hunting goddess.
Beautiful ruby color, whole cluster fermentation lends depth to the spiced berry notes, mingling with blood orange and hints of herbs. Fresh and lively on the palate, with gorgeous light weight and acid. Mineral laced and persistent. A wonderful, delicate/light expression of Garnacha
