1 Quart Whole hazelnuts
4 Cups of Water
4 Cups of White Sugar
1. Put 1 quart of hazelnuts in the 'robot coupe' and blend until you get a consistent paste that looks like “crunchy peanut butter”.
2. In a Medium pot, put the water to boil and add the white sugar and mix until all the sugar has dissolve.
3. Once the Simple syrup is made, add the Hazelnut paste to the pot and mix constantly. Bring it back to a boil and let it boil for 5 minutes, then lover the heat and let it simmer for 25 minutes.
4. Let the mix cool down and then pass it to through the mesh strainer, pressing the paste with a spoon or ladle to ensure that all the syrup comes out. Put into quart containers and label.
